Ford Settles Reverse Discrimination Suits

Ford Motor Company settled two class-action lawsuits this week alleging that the automaker discriminated against older, white men. The rare reverse-discrimination suits, involving close to 620 former and current Ford employees, claimed a recently instituted employee evaluation system favored minorities and younger women. The suits, which settled for $10.5 million, claimed that the evaluation procedure gave low ratings to white males, which resulted in lost raises and promotions.
