A sixteen-year-old boy who suffered traumatic brain injuries in an amusement park ride accident settled a lawsuit with the park owner for $750,000. While riding the "Orbitron," a popular whirling attraction, the boy's seatbelt became loose, causing him to strike his head several times against the metal railing surrounding the ride's seat. He suffered a severe laceration to his head and immediately lost consciousness. He now has a speech impediment and a tendency to drool. The boy sued Roe Amusement Park in California, alleging the operator of the ride failed to properly secure him into the seat.
