Family of Slain California Boy Wins Lawsuit Against School District

A jury recently awarded $517,000 to the family of an 11-year-old boy who died during an altercation at a California elementary school. Radonhie Jackson died of a heart attack shortly after being punched in the chest during a fight at Springs Elementary School in San Bernardino. The decedent's brothers, who claimed they suffered emotional distress after witnessing the brawl, and Jackson's parents filed suit against the San Bernardino City Unified School District, alleging it was negligent for the lack of supervision at the school during the accident.
