Awards in Automobile Accident Personal Injury Cases: Ford Motor Company Hit With $225 Million Automobile Accident Verdict

A Texas jury awarded $225 million last week to the families of two people killed in an automobile accident involving Ford Motor Company's F-150 four-door super cab pickup. Paul Alaniz, 34, and Laura Benavides, 20, died after they were ejected from the pickup when it rolled three times on a road outside of Benavides. The jury awarded $101 million to Alaniz's mother and $9 million for pain and mental anguish suffered by Alaniz before his death. Benavides' mother will receive $110 million and $5 million for physical pain and mental anguish suffered by Benavides before her death.
