Boy Carries Gun To School

A 17-year-old former Meadowlawn Middle School student was arrested today after another student reported that the boy was carrying a gun on the Meadowlawn campus. A school resource officer arrested the boy and confiscated the .22-caliber sawed off handgun. The former student is said to be developmentally disabled and was seen riding a tricycle from the school. A police officer stopped him as he was leaving the campus and found the gun inside the boy's sweatshirt. The officer reported that the gun was unloaded.
