The crash of a Cessna 414 in Greene County, Tennessee Thursday killed four residents of the Tampa Bay area. John Saunders, founder and president of an investment and employee benefits company, died in the crash along with the pilot, David Jochman, and two employees of Saunders Advisory Group, Laura Jones and Hani Boutros. Saunders' father, also named John, was the only survivor.
The pilot reportedly relayed a distress call to the Greeneville-Greene County Municipal Airport shortly before it crashed around 11 a.m. Emergency Management Director Bill Brown told investigators that the pilot was complaining of ice and engine problems before contact was lost. The flight was in route to Tennessee from Columbus, Ohio.
