A Federal district court dismissed a suit against Novartis Corp., the manufacturer of the attention-deficit disorder drug Ritalin. The judge dismissed the case after ruling that the plaintiffs' claims were not stated with particularity. The lawsuit is one of many recently filed alleging that the pharmaceutical company conspired with the American Psychiatric Association and Children and Adults with Attention Deficit-Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) in order to increase Ritalin sales.
This was the third attempt by these plaintiffs to state their claim in this specific court. Their suit has been dismissed each time.
