Two Star General Faces Charges Over V-22 Osprey

Major General Dennis T. Krupp has been charged with Dereliction of Duty involving his alleged falsification of V-22 Osprey aircraft records. Krupp is the commander of the Marine Corps' east coast aviation units. Although Krupp will not be court martialed, he faces house arrest and forfeiture of pay if found guilty during an Article 15 hearing. A reprimand may also go into the two star general's file.
The V-22 Osprey program is one of the Marine Corps' most important initiatives. The Osprey is an aircraft that flies like an airplane but lands and takes off like a helicopter.
Three other colonels are charged with similar offenses.
