A family from Spain recently filed a lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company alleging that the entertainment firm is responsible for the wrongful death of a 23-year-old woman. Cristina Moreno rode the Indiana Jones attraction at the company's California theme park, Disneyland.
The lawsuit says Moreno felt as if her "head was rolling around" after she got off of the ride. She returned to her hotel room where she lost consciousness. Moreno died of a brain hemorrhage two months later.
The lawsuit claims Disney knows that the Indiana Jones ride is dangerous, as the company has settled at least two similar lawsuits where other park patrons sustained serious injuries on the attraction. The family's attorney claims that Disney should have warned riders of the dangers associated with the ride. Disney insists that the attraction is safe.
