Three mobile-phone carriers, CTIA, TIA, and Motorola, are facing a $1.8 million lawsuit filed by a man who claims that his brain tumor was caused by mobile phone use. Michael Murray, the plaintiff and a former Motorola employee, filed the personal injury suit last week. The lawsuit is one of many filings against several players in the mobile phone industry, including Federal agencies that monitor the business.
Research on the safety of mobile phones is inconclusive. As such, the World Health Organization has called for more study.
