Testicular cancer is primarily a young man's disease, most often occurring before the age of forty. Testicular cancer is characterized by one or more lumps on the testis. The lump(s) may be painful and the scrotum may swell. If you notice any of these symptoms it is important to see a doctor. Most forms of testicular cancer are successfully treated through surgery, radiation, and chemotherapy.
