
Symptoms associated with metal fume fever are similar to those caused by the flu. These symptoms include, but may not be limited to, low-grade fever, chills, nausea, dry throat, cough, fatigue, general weakness, and aching of the body. The condition may be caused by exposure to zinc. Metal fume fever rarely lasts over 24 hours.
