
Pulmonary edema is a fluid buildup in the lungs usually caused by congestive heart failure.
Symptoms of pulmonary edema include, but may not be limited to, severe shortness of breath, sweating, bluish lips and/or nails, and a cough that starts out dry but may eventually produce bloody mucus.
Pulmonary edema is a serious medical condition that requires emergency medical treatment.
