
Green Tobacco Sickness (GTS) may affect 40% of tobacco workers. It occurs when nicotine is absorbed into the skin from the surface of wet tobacco leaves. Symptoms include, but are not limited to, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, abdominal cramps, headache, weakness, breathing problems, chills, increased sweating, paleness, and heart rate and blood pressure changes.
