Bladder Control & Urinary Incontinence Devices: Overview
The bladder is the holding tank for urine. The urinary sphincter, located at the bottom of the bladder, is a muscle that controls the release of urine from the bladder. When the bladder nears capacity, nerves tell the brain that it is time to use the restroom. Lack of bladder control is called urinary incontinence.
