Water Parks & Slides: Overview
Visiting a water park is a favorite American pastime during the long, hot summer. According to the World Waterpark Association, there are approximately 950 such attractions throughout the United States. These water parks average over 40 million guests per year, and their popularity is increasing.
Water parks pose certain dangers to their visitors. Drowning should be the number one concern for both park patrons and management. Children should be closely supervised. Unfortunately, such is not always the case, and the results can be tragic.
