Men's Health Matters

The male reproductive system is composed of both external and internal structures. The external structures include the penis, scrotum, and testes (testicles). The internal structures include the vasa deferentia (vas deferens), urethra, prostate gland, and seminal vesicles.

The sperm, which is responsible for transferring the male's genes during sexual intercourse, is created in the testes and stored in the seminal vesicles. During sexual intercourse, the sperm is transported through the vas deferens and the erect penis to the partner.

During the course of a man's life, several health issues may require a visit to a healthcare professional.
