Cydec Drops: Overview
Cydec Drops, manufactured by Great Southern Laboratories, is a pediatric cold medication containing both an antihistamine and a decongestant.
On January 18, 2001 Great Southern Laboratories recalled some packages of Cydec Drops because of an error in the dosage instructions contained on the recalled packages. The recalled packages indicate a pediatric dose, which if followed, could lead to overdose overdose. An overdose of Cydec Drops can result in serious injury or death. The recalled Cydec Drops contain Lot #02950, and the product label bears NDC #60258-439-30, with an expiration date of 12/2005. The manufacturer recommends that anyone in possession of Cydec Drops with this lot and NDC number immediately discontinue use and return the product to the pharmacy where it was purchased.
