The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is investigating airbags installed in older Nissan Altimas. The investigation involves more than a quarter million vehicles manufactured in 1994 and 1995. In recent years, NHTSA statistics indicate seventy-five injuries from the force of deploying airbags in these vehicles. More than thirty people have suffered eye injuries when the airbags deployed. Most of those injured report they were wearing seatbelts during the deployment.
If you have been injured by a defective airbag, it may be important to contact an attorney who can help you protect your legal rights. Please keep in mind that there may be time limits within which you must commence suit.
